Time for the Wednesday Prank Caller (or as we now call him, the Wankcaller), who has nothing better to do Wednesdays at middayish than to repeatedly call us and then hang up as we answer!

The National Institute of Literary Trends was initially founded by a bookseller who, after the three hundredth and fifty-third request for assistance in tracking down a book whose title, author, subject matter, and publication date are all unknown, but whose cover the seeker "would know if [he/she] saw it again--it had a green cover," wished to impart to the public a better understanding of the feasibility of that and similar requests. There are hundreds of thousands of books that look alike. They have fairly standard sizes, and graphic designers do follow certain trends--there are fads amongst book covers just as much as clothing fashions.
